Your design has a water-repellent and stain-resistant surface. Depending on the severity of the stain, you can either spot clean it by hand or wash the design in the washing machine. For tougher stains, we recommend washing the design immediately in the machine to prevent any discolouration.

🍷 How can I remove red wine stains?

For the best results, you should wash your design in the washing machine immediately. For smaller stains, spot cleaning the affected area may be sufficient.

1. Dab the stain with a paper towel and a bit of water.

2. Mix a few drops of dishwashing liquid with 1-2 cups of cold water, dip a towel into the mixture, and dab the red wine stain again.

3. If the stain persists, you can apply the dishwashing liquid and water mixture directly to the stain, blot it with the towel, and rinse with cold water.

4. Repeat the process if necessary.

5. Finally, blot up any excess water with a towel and allow the area to dry.

🐶 How can I remove urine stains?

Urine stains from your pets can be best removed with a standard stain remover.

1. Blot up the urine with a cloth and apply the stain remover according to the manufacturer's instructions. If you don't have a specialised cleaner on hand, you can mix a few teaspoons of dishwashing liquid, a cup of vinegar, and a cup of water. Apply this mixture directly to the urine stain and blot with a cloth.

2. Rinse the area with clear water afterward.

3. It's also recommended to wash the rug in the washing machine soon after to ensure thorough cleaning.

🍔 How can I remove sauce stains?

For a sauce stain, it's important to act quickly. For the best results, you should wash your design in the washing machine immediately. For smaller stains, spot cleaning the affected area may be enough.

1. First, remove the sauce with a piece of kitchen paper or a cloth.

2. Mix 1-2 teaspoons of liquid detergent with a cup of warm water and use this mixture as a cleaning solution, blotting the stain with a cloth soaked in the solution.

3. Afterward, rinse with cold water and blot with a dry cloth to help the stain dry faster.

4. You can also use a standard stain remover according to the manufacturer's instructions and then wash the design in the washing machine.

The pad must not be washed in the washing machine. Since it sits underneath the design, it generally doesn’t get dirty.
If the pad does get wet, you can wipe it down with a towel and mild soap. You can remove light dirt from the pad with a vacuum cleaner or a lint roller.

For heavier soiling, you can rinse the pad under the shower and then hang it up to dry.

💡 Tip: When washing the design, we recommend laying out a second design to protect your pad from dirt. Alternatively, you can roll up the pad and set it aside during this time.

Our rugs are made from durable materials. In our tests, even after more than 30 washes, we found no loss in quality, so you can enjoy your Teppana rug for a long time.

For our plush rugs, we recommend air drying the design on a clothesline to avoid putting too much strain on the fibres over time. Once the design is dry, you can gently run your fingers or a brush through the pile to restore its fluffy texture.

Thanks to the special material, the designs are stain-resistant. However, please follow the care instructions. For larger stains, we recommend washing the designs immediately. Small stains can be wiped off with a mild detergent and a cloth.
